Chemical properties Amber prismatic crystals. Insoluble in water. Slightly soluble in ethanol and ether. Soluble in chloroform, benzene and acetic acid. Soluble in hot concentrated sulfuric acid is brownish yellow.

Uses for the preparation of dye intermediates such as 1-aminopurine, 1-hydroxyindole, 1,5- and 1,8-dinitroguanidine

Use This product is a dye intermediate for the production of 1-aminoindole, 1,5- and 1,8-dinitroguanidine.

Production method is obtained by nitrification of alfalfa.
