Production method Condensation with phthalic anhydride and chlorobenzene in the presence of anhydrous aluminum trichloride to form 2-(p-chlorobenzoyl)benzoic acid, which is then nitrated with a mixed acid and reduced to give 2-(3-amino-4) -Chlorobenzoyl)benzoic acid. The latter was obtained by diazotizing sodium nitrite and replacing the chlorination with sulfur dioxide and chlorine chloride.
