Production Methods The preparation method is CF3Cl and sodium dithionite reaction to generate trifluoromethyl sodium sulfite, and then the reaction of thionyl chloride to produce products. Reaction equation: CF3Cl1 + Na2S2O4 → CF3SO2Na [SOCl2] → CF3SOCl
Potassium trifluoroacetate and sulfur dioxide can also be used in the reaction of the solvent to produce potassium trifluoromethyl sulfoxide, and then reacted with thionyl chloride to produce products. Reaction equation: CF3COOK + SO2 → CF3SO2K → CF3SOCl
